Solved

I deleted a hinge but my two grids are somehow still connected as the video shows.

Hello, Exinity,

thanks for sharing your issue with us. However, I was not able to reproduce it.

I built similar truck + trailer as shown on video and upon disconnecting, deleting, grinding down the blocks around as well as the hinge itself, the trailer was detached as expected.

Are you still experiencing it or was it a one time thing? Did you play single player, or in online mode (Lobby MP, dedicated server, public server)? Can you provide more repro steps about what you did with the truck/trailer before this video was taken? Any special actions?

Can you provide the blueprint of the affected vehicle or (that would be actually better) whole save of the world? Might be something "wrong" locally on the world itself or in setting of the truck, trailer, hinge... So having your exact situation available would be great help!

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks in advance for providing those.

Kind Regards

I've played around with more rotors and hinges for the last week or so and was not able to reproduce it - So it would seem to be a one-time thing. Thank you for your time.

Hello, Exinity,

thanks for coming back and for the update.

As me and you are not able to reproduce it anymore, I will close this thread.

If it will happen again, or you will come across anything else, please don´t hesitate to write to us again and to open new thread.

Kind Regards
