Hinge On Hinge Issues

Hi all,

I was attempting to build somewhat retractable thrusters using multiple hinges attached together, all works well until any amouts of mass or thrusters (even turned off) are attached to the assembly. I have tried turning up and down the torgue and braking torgue but nothing stops the hinges, and what attached, from clanging around.

I have attached images (Appropriately named) showing the issues i am having.

The image labelled 'sideways' shows off the severity of the issue.
