Hiding many blocks locks up UI

When I want to hide blocks in terminal to make the list easier to manage, the whole UI locks up. The more item I try to hide at once the longer the lock is. Can be several minutes when building something large and having hundreds or thousands of blocks. I'm sure this function can be more optimized.
