Heavy lag after 20 minutes of playtime since 1.194

Won't Fix

Hello!

This bug is very persistent and annoying since I can not play for more than 20 minutes without getting a heavy lag spike. It doesn't matter which world I load, or how many objects are on screen: even cruising around void world for 20 min causes the lag. I'm unable to trace the problem, since changing the various settings only increases/decreases performance as expected in the initial 20 minutes, and lag still occurs after that. When the lag starts, CPU and GPU usage drop by 80-85% and persists even when exiting to main menu. RAM usage is unaffected. Disabling mods and starting an empty world changes nothing, lag still occurs after 20 minutes. Actions I take in-game make no difference (for example building and moving vs. loading the world and standing still).

Neither CPU nor GPU are getting throttled while playing.

The version I last played before 1.194 was the Economy Update (forgot the version number) and no such lag was present.

Is there a way for me to "record" the performance of my game while playing without recording actual video (as that kills performance on almost every game) so that I can post it here? Or maybe a log of some kind? Is there a specific setting that might cause this?

Since the game was running fine with the Economy update, I'm certain that one of the recent updates broke something, but just in case here's my specs:

Win7 Ultimate x64

CPU: AMD A10-6800K APU (4x4.3GHz)

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 (driver 445.75)

RAM: 2x8GB 1600MHz DDR3

If you require more info, ask!

What I described as "lag" might be described better with "stuttering". And once it starts, it doesn't go away until game is restarted. Also, total RAM usage never reaches more than 65% (and that's with ~15 opened tabs in Chrome, and Steam and SE opened and not minimized).

P.S. I never reported the bug after update to 1.194 because i didn't play all that much, but now that 1.195 is here I'd like to but am unable to due to this bug. Since I run the game off a HDD restarting every 20 min isn't an option, because 25% of the "playtime" I'd be on the loading screen.

If a fix isn't available, or won't be available in the NEAR future (less than one month), kindly provide me with instructions on how to downgrade the game back to Economy update. I don't play multiplayer anyway so having a different game version doesn't bother me. The platform I play on is Steam.

Check the betas tab of the game properties for the older versions and public tests.

Hello, Engineer!

Thank you for contacting us. Does this issue occur also on a latest version 196.013? Please provide your logs: you can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Please try to Verify your game files in Steam: Space Engineers → Properties → Local Files.

I fired up the new version today. The verification just said that all files were successfully verified.

It took a while longer before the stuttering started (about 30 minutes), but the stuttering is actually worse now, with intermittent freezing of about half a second per 2 seconds when it starts and increasing to 3-5 seconds of game being frozen to half a second normal fps after only a few minutes (cursor works, CPU/GPU usage dropping drastically when freezing occurs). Still persists in menu after I exit the world and doesn't stop until I exit the game completely.

I made a new world without mods for this test, with Earth custom scenario. Never even moved more than 150m from the beacon. The log for this session is attached.
