I can confirm this behavior: https://streamable.com/mrix6
You just need velocity when you lock the landing gears and the ship will not stop clientside.
STR:
1. Spawn in planetary lander.
2. Go close to the planet surface but not enough to lock.
3. Disable dampeners to let it fall.
The ship should now fall through the ground, clientside only.

I am able to reproduce this bug even at slow speeds. Other things I've noticed:
1) The landing gears unlock with the message "landing gear locked"
2) If you disable autolock on the landing gears, the bug does not occur
3) If you turn the landing gears off, the bug does not occur.
4) If you grind out a locked landing gear attached to a station, the ship will become permanently stuck to the station
5) Connectors have similar bugs. We were once only able to undock a ship attached via connector by turning the connector off on the station, despite the fact that the connector was unlocked and turned off on the ship already.
So it appears there's some state bug on blocks that merge two grids together.

I would like to know if you are able to fix the ships then how are you going to fix the characters falling through the maps. I only see you are working on the ships landing gear in this article. The link that took me from a post headline was "Multiplayer Dedi Server Terrain/Physics issue - ships and characters sink into planet" Character dont have landing gear so yes its something to do with the planets as well.
Thanks
