Grid mass not calculated properly for detached ship

Dan Garr shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

I've been playing an earth easy start survival game, and am building a mothership to take off with. I built it originally as part of the base's grid, including landing gear touching a pad made of light armor blocks. When I severed the connection to the base's grid and turned off the docking connector, it still showed the mass of both grids (>5M kg). It wasn't until I released the landing gear and lifted off that I discovered the actual ship mass was ~1.3M kg. After that point it was calculated properly.

Hello, Dan,

thanks for letting us know about your concern. However, when I did try it, I did not experience any odd behavior. All was working as expected on my side.

Can I please have the save file of your world where you are experiencing it?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Did this issue happened just one time, or are you able to reproduce it at will? Just with said ship/base or also with other ships/bases? What is your setting of the unsupported stations in the advanced settings; is it enabled or disabled?

If you can provide any more information that could help me including the video of this issue happening, that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.
