Gravity on ships is Calculated from the pivot point

While playing around with trying to figure out exactly Gravity and Thruster Efficiency is calculated with on grids I noticed that the gravity is based off the Pivot Point.

Depending on how ships are built in this game it could make ships flight easier or more difficult or have really no effect at all

I think this should be changed to probably be more in line with thruster calculations going off the center point of the grid vs the pivot point

Here's a link to a steam published blueprint of a ship that has an absurdly (not survival achievable) misplaced pivot point and is able to stay unaffected by gravity as long as it stays upright.

Yep, the linked ship simply does not care about the gravity because its pivot is about ~44000m upwards.

Exploiting where the pivot point is is quite do-able in survival, it's not impossible but it is difficult.

Well if you want to get it to the point I did it might take a space elevator and some merge blocks to get it, as it wouldn't let me place any more blocks in that direction so I used copy and paste.

If you try placing blocks on the bottom of that ship it wont let you.

I didn't consider merge blocks at the time and only thought it would be achievable with copy and paste.

This was in the 189 changelog, why was it now changed to "considered"?
