Graphics Broken

Jordan Peterson shared this bug 5 years ago
Won't Fix

For the past month every time I've loaded into a world I have had the same problem. Upon spawning all blocks and voxels turn black and there is a black strip in the sky where twilight would be. I have tried adjusting the graphics settings with little success. I have also tried this in a brand new vanilla world and the problem persists. I have attached an image of the issue.

I'd verify your game cache...

Right Click Space Engineers > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files...

I've had the same problem for about two months, and I did the same thing, but planets are still an issue. Turning down graphics settings doesn't help, but I suspect that my computer's processor or graphics card is the real problem. Hope this helps.

I recently upgraded my graphics card and it fixed the issue entirely. Please spread this information to any one reporting the bug.

so I have the same issue and I believe that this image can help

I got this game years ago and am now FINALLY able to play as my computer no longer lies about having a 32-bit instead of the 64-bit it actually has. and this image is the first thing I get. ALL textures go black except the sky and there is a black ring around the direct middle area between the sun and moon hovering infinitely high in the sky. Paired with that the audio is incredibly staticy and retro sounding. but there is no gameplay errors. hitboxes are correct and as far as I can tell there are no terrain holes so the issue is entirely graphically impacting.

my computer specs are: HP ENVY Desktop - Intel i7, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD, Windows 10.

hopefully that is enough to solve this issue

just realized this is a space engineers post and not a medieval engineers bug report hopefully this helps narrow the issues to something that the games share

Hello, Engineers!

it´s already quite long time from when this issue was originally posted as well as from the last comment.

Are you still experiencing it? Or was it fixed in meantime.

Thanks in advance for confirming me current situation.

Hello, Clark!

Awesome, thanks for confirming. As all other comments are more than 2 years old and no one other wrote here, let´s take this issue as fixed in the meantime. I will close the thread.

If you come across anything else, please don´t hesitate to write to us again.

Kind Regards
