Ghost Voxels

Murkorus shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

The ground on the moon where me and my friends have mined has reappeared, only visually though. We are able to clip through it with some effort, and the same with ships. This bug makes it almost impossible to mine, as you can't where you have mined, nor can you see the ores. When clipping through, any vehicle also goes beserk and starts to move uncrontolably. Most of the time this results in the vehicle crashing and exploding.

Hello, Murkorus,

thanks for letting us know. However, I was not able to reproduce this issue. Can you maybe specify more what were you doing exactly? Did you play in Lobby MP or on dedicated server or normal public MP server? Can you maybe send us a save of you world?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers(Dedicated)\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Any more info would be beneficial. Did this happen after save and you left the game, and after you come back, the voxels reappeared, or did it happen in single session in manner that you... e.g. went on other part of the planet, and when you came back, the ground was like new? Did it happen only once, or are you experiencing this issue on regular basis?

Kind Regards

Hello Engineer,

Since there are no new comments in this topic and we are still not able to reproduce it,

we are closing this thread as outdated.

In case anyone is encountering the same or similar bug, which is not already posted in a

different thread, please feel free to create a new thread with all relevant information.

Thank you.
