Game Options Not Saving New Changes

Won't Fix

When I change my game options, specifically to enable cargo ships and encounters, the settings are reverted upon launching the save file. If I save the changes and then go back into the advanced options before launching the save, I will see that it is still toggled on. But then I launch the game and experience no cargo ships or encounters, when I return to menu and re-inspect the advanced settings they have been toggled off again.

Hello, JM Kruit,

thanks for letting us know. However I was not able to reproduce your issue. Not how you are speaking about it, nor the other way around. Not mentioning that these options (Cargo Ships and Random Encounters) are On by default when starting new game.

Can you please share more details? What game is it? Some *** Base, Empty World, Star System? Do you play offline, or on some server/lobby? Is it happening on one particular world, or is this issue global for your, happening in every game that you start? I think that sharing the save file of affected world would be best.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Hello Ondrej Borz,

Thank you for looking into this, I appreciate your time. This is simply a *** base on planet in the Star System environment. I play locally on my computer and host to friends over steam. I have not tried making a completely new save file to see if this happens on all my games, I normally play on a server hosted by a friend so I don't have many saves to refer to personally. I have attached a google drive link please let me know if there are issues.

Hi, JM Kruit,

so I take a look on your save - thanks :) - and while it is indeed happening, there´s bunch of mods. We´re sorry, but we are not providing support for other´s people mods. If you can reproduce it on vanilla world (no mods), than it would be something to look at for us.

I´m really sorry to say this, but hope you will understand. We can not provide support for mods, as there are hundreds and probably thousands of them out there. That is responsibility of the mode creator.

If you will manage to reproduce it in world with no mods, don´t hesitate to update the thread :)
