Game crashing whenever I get around the 2.0 M save mark

I love this game first and foremost and I have never played before the Xbox one beta. My only issue is whenever I get about 3-4 hours in, my game crashes every time, especially when I try to mine above ground deposits of minerals. This makes the game unplayable and almost impossible to progress any further as I cannot mine for resources I need.
