game crashes when grids split

Solved

when grids are split by hand tools / weapons and ship tools / weapons the is a chance the game will crash, it doesnt always happen but when the bug does happen you can reload the save and split the problem grid in the same way and always crashes.

spawn at the survival kit, grind the cargo box then the battery on that lootbox and the game will crash with a parallel tasks error

Hello!

Thank you for your report however I see that you are using mods in your world. Unless it can be reproduced on a clean, un-modded server, it is usually caused by a certain mod or by combination of mods which we have no control over. Can you please confirm this issue also occurs without mods?

it does happen in vanilla se but a lot more rarely so its not exactly something i can just give you a world for on demand, its the same type of crash though iirc.

i'll keep trying to reproduce it in vanilla

sorry for the delayed reply but i wanted to be sure about this

i managed to get the issue in vanilla and it was repeatable (different error though) after that i thought i'd try verifying the integrity of the game files it downloaded something and that did it i cant replicate the crash anymore, looks like a download went bad... that or i broke the install myself somehow.
