Freeze/crash when logging into specific server

Won't Fix

When Logging into CA #1, my client either becomes unresponsive (Allowed to sit 10+ min) or crashes to desktop, usually the message of the day is displayed before the crash/hangup.

I have tried to have another player disable all Medical facilities without improvement.

I have tried to have another player disable all cockpit screens/scripts, this seems to have fixed the issue.

Hello, bornstellar,

thanks for letting us know. However, when trying to enter the mentioned server, I have no issue whatsoever now. Trying with two characters, both are spawned correctly and I can play with both at the same time.

Are you still experiencing it, or was it just some kind of temporal issue with the server? Other players on the server that you communicated with were on the server without issues?

Please let me know whether you are still experiencing it.

Did you try to Verify game files through Steam before trying to log again?

Any other info would be great! Although I know there might not be much more, if the game itself won´t let you login at all.

All other servers are working for you? Are you able to run the game in single player, local MP?

As I said in my post, we traced the issue to the cockpit/command seat display scripts. Others were able to be logged in in the same place as me, I was the only one affected. I was able to log into other servers.


This is not an open issue for me, just want to add another data point to help you guys to squash those bugs!

What exactly do you mean by "not an open issue"? It is no longer happening? Or are you still experiencing it, when there are some scripts running on displays?

If it is no longer happening even to you, I would close this thread.

It is no longer happening because we got rid of all the scripts. If you'd like, we can do some testing to narrow down the issue, maybe we can do that later today. I did validate the files and that did not solve the issue.

yes, please. That would certainly help a great deal! If that is possible for you to test it some more, please do.

So far I was not able to reproduce it successfully. So any more leads narrowing it to as reliable steps to reproduce as possible would definitely help.
