Hello,
Having just experienced the same issue and failed to solve it using the existing methods, i would like to report that, in my case, it was caused by the main hard drive of my computer (where the roaming folder is located) reaching capacity precisely "because of" saving my progress in SE one more time (i saved a few times before during that session without any issue). Of course freeing some space on that drive fixed the issue.
I hope this helps, as checking hard drive capacity is a very simple and quick troubleshooting step.
