Faction mates need to be able to paint the same grid
Completed
The new implementation of the anti-griefing system disallows players to paint grids they don't own, but it overlooks factions.
If the owner of the grid has set it to share with faction, other members of that faction should be able to also paint that grid.
100% agreed
but there is already a bug post for this

Please fix this.
At least set it as an option for the server.
It is really annoying when we are 6 people building a base together.
If its shared ownership with the faction. Please let us paint!

I can not believe this is not been rectified yet. As for the coding, this should be a simple fix if player entity equals faction group Guild whatever you want to call it Grant's capability of paint or build repair.

Please change it back.
Please change it back.
Please at least make it so that faction owners can give members permission to paint.

This needs to be reverted back immediately. It is just very frustrating, and shouldn't require base to be set to "Nobody" to be able to paint this. Especially if on a deidcated server. The whole original change was to prevent griefing, but if faction mates are griefing then they deserved to be kicked or given a warning. They deserve it. Or if the idea was to prevent the Shift+Ctrl click to paint ALL blocks, then just disable that from faction members so that it no one can just paint an entire grid.

Ideally if a block is shared you should be able to paint it, or it could be an option on a grid-per-grid basis

Guess it'll be better to make this feature switchable, strict personally by team mates. Each player in fraction will decide to allow someone to paint his grids. Think it's not so hard to deploy in current version of game.

It would help to have a "paint lock". Not just against griefers and funny faction members, but also from own mistakes. Locking parts of a grid would be nice too, this way specific modules could stay of a color while the rest could be recolored without worry.
