Experimental mode

Won't Fix

When I turn experimental mode on I can't load in any of my worlds nor start a new one.

I agreed to mod.io and tried reinstalling the game, but neither helped.

Hello, Álmos,

thanks for letting us know about this issue that you are experiencing.

This issue seems rather weird. Because the correct behavior is the other way around - you can´t continue to play on worlds started or saved in Experimental mode, when this mode is turned off in settings.

What does you game look like when this is happening? Is there any error message associated with this, when you try to load the save/start the game? Can you please do a video of showing this behavior, what exactly is happening?

When you go back to settings and turn the Experimental mode off again, are you able to play normally?

Can you please try these:

Verify your game files in Steam - right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted). You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache2 folder - located in the same folder

Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder (so you won´t loose saves, local mods etc.) and delete it

Restart Steam

Uninstall the game again completely with deleting all the associated folders in Roaming and in Steam folder as well, as there might be some leftovers. Once done, restart you PC and install the game again.

Please let me know if any of these workaround fixed the issue for you.

Kind Regards
