Ctrl B will not save a new blueprint anymore. I can no longer save ANYTHING I create at all.

John Hines shared this bug 5 years ago
Won't Fix

This started with a buggy Ctrl B that would sometimes crash the game.

It has gotten worse over time and now I am completely unable to save any blueprints at all in any world of any type in single or multi player. I am an avid player with 2700 hours of time on this game and I have tried reinstalling the game, deleted the local folders, etc. nothing has fixed this bug. I am now unable to save anything I do at all.

very disappointed.

Looks like the saving is an issue. Makes a folder under cloud in the blueprint folder but only saves the thumb nail...

Further more, looks like everything in my blueprint cloud folder is just... Well, just thumbnails. No actual files to tell the game how the blue print is made.

Is there any way to get around this?

For now, if it still works, you can copy the file with ctrl C (obviously limited to creative) and use F10 to open the blueprint menu where you can create a blueprint from your clipboard.

This don't seem to work for me. unless it just over wrights another BP.

It's will not save a new BluePrint. for me.. I tried to reinstall the game, and that didn't work

I haven't played the game in ages so I don't know if anything has changed, but last I knew you had to click "create from clipboard" after copying it. Good luck.

Remember, the only surefire way to avoid KSH's bad decisions is to stop playing their games.

I Posted this on another Bug report - Here -

I was going to open a new Bug Report but wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue. I was also able to save blueprints for a while but for some odd reason It will not let me save anymore, usually happens around the major patch's for some odd reason. after checking the files and reinstalling the game, going through some software and removing it if it may be causing issues and nothing helped. until I started to play with the Cloud settings on both SE and Steam, Doc. is just a very simple table of a small bit of testing. the main issue seems to be Space Engineers Cloud Saving, at least thats what I been finding out.

What about anyone else, would be interesting to see if anyone else can have the same results as I have just by changing the Cloud Settings

Steam Cloud - Properties on Space Engineers Under the Options Tab

Space Engineers Cloud - In Game Options in the Game Tab

Would like to add that my Steam Games are not on my C-Drive, they are on a dedicated SSD for games as to not clutter my C-Drive

I'm also having this issue. The only workaround is to delete an existing blueprint, which sometimes enables be to save a new one. I have verified that I have plenty of room on all drives and also plenty of space in Steam Cloud (I've also tried disabling Steam Cloud Saves). I've also verified my game cache and completely deleted/reinstalled the game.

As far as singleplayer goes, it seems CTRL + B works in both Survival and Creative, while Ctrl + C -> "Create from clipboard" continues to work in Creative. You might want to wait for other players' feedback before you close the thread entirely but both functions work for me at present in both gamemodes.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

I just had this same issue occur right now. I tried to save a blueprint with ctr-b. The blueprint screen opened, but the blueprint was not saved and the first default drone plan was selected. Opening the blueprint screen and selecting "create blueprint from clipboard" also does not work. I deleted an existing blueprint band was able to save a single new blueprint, but no others. I do have Steam cloud saves enabled. However, I only used 122.5 MB, and there is plenty of room in my other drives. Is there a limit to the number of blueprints that can be saved? I have about 89 blueprints saved between parts/sections (such as thruster arrays or subgrids), ships in progress and final designs.
