Crashed Red Ship/survival mode (Connector issue)

In Crashed Red Ship (against the asteroid),

I recall there's a connector with collector next to it, as same as well with the medium cargo next to it too. I wasn't sure if the game file (the crashed red ship scenario itself) was up to date or not.

Getting to the point of problem, I shamelessly copied/pasted this mining ship (the game still considers this particular ship as "Station" because i didn't build up on top of the landing pad/leg)

It have the connector on back, the magnetic strength on it and that connector on red ship was ridiculously low, i should be able to link up with it with no problems.

On multiple times, the miner ship's connect kept EXPLODING APART three times whenever i unsuccessfully didn't properly connect to the connector, expecting it to snap on because of magnets. It acted like my ship went in reverse at full speed and smashed into the red ship's connector, destroying the miner ship's connector ALONG with two batteries, and two medium cargos on it.

Beside the obvious issue at hand, is there something wrong with that? Or is the game file itself outdated and my ship was slightly updated?
