Hello, taipay,
thanks for letting us know about your concern.
However, when I did try it, I see no issue there - the sorter works as on previous version.
All you need to do, to make it work properly is:
1. Put the item, you want to move through the sorter, into the Whitelist filter.
2. Tick the "Drain All" option so it´s On.
Once you do this, the sorter is working just fine; with or without safe zone being used on any part of the conveyor system, the grid you are using to move the items from, or the final destination.
Anyway... if you do this and it still won´t work for you, or you think something is still wrong there, can you please share me the save file where this issue can be observed?
You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Kind Regards

We always want to store the maximum number of Zohnenchips in the Safezohne. We tried to push them to the inventory using a sorter. This is not possible because it doesn't seem to have any inventory like a cargo container. It is also not possible to achieve this using a script. (used script PIM 1.0 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2080547657&searchtext=PIM )

Yes, the safe zone block will not be filled by the sorter. But the sorter can itself function as a zone chip storage. And the safe zone block is fine with pulling from elsewhere, when internal chips run out.
