Connector on a piston causes ships to flop around and explode

Reported

I have a large block static grid with a connector on the end of a piston to extend out and connect to ships. I've tried with all kinds of ships and they all flop around and eventually start blowing up and disconnect. If I replace the piston with static conveyor blocks I have no issues but that defeats the purpose of the piston. This was in zero gravity but also happens in planet gravity.

Hello Ben!

Thank you for letting us know about this. Can you please supply a copy of your save so this can be looked into? Also, reliable steps to reproduce this would be a huge help too.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards

I have setup the save with a ship ready to connect. There are gravity generators in the base but even disabled it will do the same thing. I've tried this in gravity and no gravity and it does the same thing so I have no idea what the issue is. If I replace the piston with conveyor blocks its fine. Doesn't matter which ship I try either, small or large will do the same.
