Let me assure yall of one thing, this IS one of yalls "most serious" bugs.
I've just encountered this the other day and it has kept me from playing the game AT ALL. I don't have a degree in computer science, but I cant tell you that this is one of the most flawed and probably the most simple to fix, yet I'm reading posts of people having this problem for years. I don't mean to come across as rude, because I am a very patient and kind person, but this is absolutely pathetic that this but is still here. I understand some bugs can reappear after some changes, but It should be fixed, and not months later, i did pay for the game after all. (BTW update Major Update 1.192.1 didn't fixed it either... not surprised)

I have the same bug
Same issue on survival multiplayer server.
Jetpack is not a great option because you need to constantly refill fuel and never touch the grids

I had same issue when rotor was attached to grid, which was not static. Is it same in your case ?
