Can't restart solar/wind/batteries when grid runs out of energy

I have a small grid with no reactors running off wind and solar energy in survival. I was a little over-zealous in recharging my mining ships batteries and sucked all of the power out of my grid. Once I did that, everything shut down, including connectors to the charged batteries. Problem was, my solar and wind generators were still running. Even after everything went dark, and my solar and wind energies had "potential" output, there was no actual output to the grid. After that, the solar, wind, and batteries were all useless. No matter how many times I toggled everything, I couldn't restart their "connection" with the grid. First I had to grind down all my renewable power sources and replace them, which restarted the grid. But then the batteries wouldn't charge, so I had to grind them down and replace them too (needing to make all new power cells). This seems like a bug. I agree everything should have went dark when I killed my batteries, but once everything went dark and shut off, my batteries should have started recharging since there was no more drain. Its fine to have to manually restart factories and connectors and such, but to have to grind down my generators and batteries doesn't seem right.
