I have the same bug
I agree that the locks are bad and should be fixed.
However they'll most likely not bring back safetylock as they tried really hard to remove it in the first place, asking for that thing in particular won't get you anywhere, you need to focus on the issues.
What's landing gear using nowadays anyway? Whatever that uses seems rigid enough.
