Blueprint wont save without deleting old blueprints

Won't Fix

I keep trying to save blueprints, but I'm finding they won't save unless I delete 2 or 3 other blueprints first. I'm barely at a quarter of storage capacity for blueprints

Hello, TheGriffin89,

thanks for sharing your issue with us. However, when I did try it, I could do blueprints without any problems of any grid I tried (even more blueprints from one and the same grid).

It´s working for me also when Option Steam Cloud is disabled, all my blueprints are stored locally as they should.

Can I please get some more information? A video might be a good starting point, so I can really see what is the problem and how it behaves exactly.

Do you store the BP locally (you can find those by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints). Can you locate your PB there in the "local" folder or does it go directly to "cloud" folder? Are you using Steam Workshop or mod.io?

Any more information that you can think of will surely be a great help!

Thanks in advance for providing these.

Kind Regards

Attatched is the video. Basically, I hit CTRL+B and nothing happens. I delete a bookmark and then press CTRL+B again and it will save

Hello, TheGriffin89,

thanks for the video. Ok, now I see. But still, this is not happening to me :( My blueprints are normally saved even when using custom names on them. If I already have the grid with this name once as BP, game will save it as "name_1".

Can you please try the same on the vanilla (non-modded) world? With some basic grid that is also not using modded blocks? Is the behavior the very same if you try to make the blueprint in cloud and save it locally on your PC? Can you try to disable Steam Cloud in Options and let me know afterwards?

If the issue won´t happen in vanilla word with some basic grid, then I´m afraid it´s some of your mods doing this.

If you will try it and the issue would be still the same, can I please have a save file, and the BP itself as well? So I can try to reproduce your issue in the exactly same environments.

Kind Regards

Hello, Tried using no mods. Attached video is Keen vanilla construct with same result.

I am noticing an excessive amount of blueprints in my cloud folder. I haven't yet found a way to delete a lot of them, could have an impact?

Hello, TheGiffin89,

thanks for the video; however, it´s visible that at least the world itself is still modded (the UI and such). Can you please try and do the same in e.g. Empty World or Earth base without any mods at all?

Pity you didn´t share the safe file and the blueprint as well; that way I could try myself and see if it would be broken for me as well.

You are still trying to save the blueprints to the cloud. Can you please go to game options and disable the Steam Cloud options? That way we can see if the blueprints would at least save for you on your local PC. If you save blueprint locally, it will be stored in \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Is this option working for you?

If you still want to use the steam cloud option, you can try to navigate to Steam - steamapps - workshop - content - * some your numbers *. There you shall be able to view all your blueprint stored in the cloud. You might try to delete some (backup them) and see if it works better with (nearly) empty cloud folder.

Hello,

So I did try with a completely unmodded world and same problem. I tried to upload world file, but putting it here didn't seem to work.

I disabled the steam cloud entirely and problem has been solved. But it does mean blueprints aren't saved to the cloud. Unfortunate, but acceptable.

Hello, TheGriffin89,

thanks for coming back.

Well, at least something :)

Anyway, if your still want to sent me the save file and it´s too big to attach here, please upload the save zip to Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks.
