Blueprint issue

Joshua Nova-Yingst shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Whenever I attempt to save a blueprint, nothing is saved. Instead, after I click control+b, it takes me to the blueprint menu without showing the new save and when I search for it, nothing comes up. I also cannot edit existing blueprints nor can I edit the blueprint names.

Hello, Joshua!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I have seen this issue come up occasionally on the forums and I have had a look online and found a thread on Steam from a while ago which would be worth looking into. https://steamcommunity.com/app/244850/discussions/0/1742229167174686318/#c1742229167174817689 Please let me know if this resolves your issue as it did for the other user :)

Kind Regards

Hello, unfortunately it does not appear so. It did however reset all my game settings and reverted them to when I first purchased the game. I have had some limited success as it seems that I am able to spawn in a few blueprints I already made, delete the blueprint and then make a new blueprint of that grid. However I still am unable to save new grids.

Hello, Joshua!

Thank you for the update. In this case, I would go through are normal trouble shooting steps (any that you have not yet tried)

Please let me know how you get on after this. Also, do you have plenty of space available?

  • Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

  • Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Kind Regards

Hello, Joshua!

Thank you for the update. Could you please try to disable Steam cloud and see if this makes a difference at all? I read that has helped someone although may not! Also, is this happening in a world with mods at all? If so, can you try this in a fresh world without them? Is it possible to provide a video of what is happening for you? Trying to create the blueprint, showing what happens in the blueprint menu and how you are unable to edit any? Finally, can you please provide a log from you trying and failing to create a blueprint?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards

Joshua Nova-Yingst, probably you have too many blueprints already, could you delete one and check if new one is saved?

Hello, Engineers!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
