awfully big rover gets stopped by concrete trees
Outdated
Hi,
When i'm driving with my awfully big 6000 ton rover against a tree, it immediately stops
and gets pushed backwards. Sometimes damaging the vehicle.
proof:
and :
thanks
Same things happens with flying vehicles. Hitting the tree sends ships tumbling, and only uproots the tree. This results in nasty crashes with huge atmospheric drills flying low.
Basically, a proper solution would be to set "maximum breaking force/impact" for a tree, and anything that goes beyond that value should just pulverize the tree into bunch of splinters.

Examples, as apparently keen is somehow unaware of this issue despite it existing since 2015.

this is a huge snag on gameplay for me. Trees are almost everywhere, and having a huge rover flipped by one at high speed, after passing rocky terrain with relative ease, is just annoying. Wheels on subgrids (as in a bogie suspension) might have something to do with it?
