Asteroids not spawning

Ever since the update every world i have created no matter what density or view distance settings i set have not spawned any asteroids...it has made survival in space completely impossible, sometimes with a bit of luck a cluster of them spawns far away but when i relog later on they've disapeared (this applies even for high density which is what i always play on)

I'll have to add to this, when i check the world settings my view distance sais "Custom" that's despite me not having customised any files, when i change it to 15-20 KM or any other view distance and relog, it's back to "Custom"
