Assembler not pulling ingots

David Hering shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

Using multiplayer game hosted on my PC with 4 other players (often 3 or less on at a time) we found what we think is a bug with the assemblers. We have several grids with assemblers in them and they all work fine. We are working on a large project that is a 40 x 41 mining head mining ship. Kind of a go for broke build. The ship has over 150 large cargo boxes, 70 refiners, 6 reactors and come in at over 58,000,000 Kg. The drills work great and the cargo management systems work perfect. But most of the time the assemblers require you to load material and remove product by hand. Not taking them in an out of your backpack, just maneuvering it from storage to assembler and back using the existing conveyor system. So if you use the inventory screen to move the material around, it works, but no automation on its own to move things around when you give it a production order. We have had occasional instances of it working right, but no pattern as to why. All other material handeling works just fine, we can chew into an asteroid and process the stone/ore on the fly with nothing but letting the ship move product through the conveyor system and process millions of kilograms of stone and resulting ingots with out an issue to the tune of 3 to 5 million ingots of resulting iron in 15 min. The sorters all work properly and we even can auto dump gravel and excess stone. We have even tried decoupling the stone storage (120 large containers) with pistons and docking ports. Still no improving.
