Assembler has no consumable tab

Jesse shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

I just downloaded the new update that came with the combat DLC. I launched the game before purchasing the DLC and found I could not make any ammo for gatling turrets. So I asked a discord I'm a part of they explained that the update has a new "consumable" tab on the assembler. I then downloaded the DLC and validated my game files and that still did not fix it. I launched a new world and the tab was there. I then relaunched my existing world, grinded my assembler down and rebuilt another one. Still no consumable tab, I made a new grid with an advanced and basic assembler. The basic assembler had the tab and the advanced assembler still didn't have it.

Hi Jesse

I had exactly the same issue and in my case it was a conflict with Splitsie’s Survival Less Likely mod. If you use that mod or any other that changes the large assembler beyond adding a block, you may need to change the mod to add the consumable tab. This solution by BeardyDeveloper worked immediately - hopefully will for you as well.

Hello, Engineers!

Thanks for sharing your concern with us, but when I did try it everything was working fine.

I take it you are using mods. Can you please try also on the vanilla game (without mods usage)? I just tried to build both assemblers on v197, updated, check the game again, and both of them do have the assembler updated correctly with Consumable tabs in it.

If you will try it on vanilla game and the issue is still happening to you, can I please ask you for the save of your game so I can check it myself in your exact environment?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards
