Animated blocks disappear

ForeverEpicness shared this bug 5 years ago
Won't Fix

So, animated blocks disappear graphically and in terminals (but not physically) when part of a pasted grid or blueprint or when placed as a single block with creative tools. Animated blocks render and show normally in terminal when placed with survival tools and welded up or when placed with creative tools onto an existing grid.

Its worth noting that i even started a new map with no mods and the bug persists.

All admins and players on my server experience it. so its not a problem on my end.

It doesnt matter what blueprint is used. All turrets, doors, hangar doors, etc are effected. whether from mods or vanilla. Starting a brand new vanilla world with no mods does not resolve the problem. So its not the save file.

The only 'fix' is to restart the server after placing effected blocks or grids. They will be fine upon reload of the world. However placing additional blocks or grids means that they will be afflicted until the next world load.

Hello, Engineer!

What exactly do you mean by "Animated blocks"? Turrets, pistons, rotors or something else?

Also please could explain more when exactly will it disappear? Right after you paste blueprint?

We would really appreciate if you could make video with reproduction steps.

Kind Regards

Rotors and pistons seem unaffected. However single blocks that have an animation are effected.

I tried uploading a video but just got an error about the file path. Will try again after work.

Hello, Engineer!

As this thread it quite old, let me ask whether you are still experiencing it nowadays, please? Or was it fixed/solved meanwhile?

If yes, does the behavior changed anyhow though the time?

Thanks in advance for letting me know.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
