Allow buildable projection onto rotor head from main grid.

The idea came to me when I was trying to automate the creation of my Small Grid SPAA with subgrids that controlled weapon arms, turret rotation, and camera in sync using an in-game script. I tried to circumvent the subgrid projection limitation by adjusting the rotor heads to line up perfectly with the projected grid. however, the projector would not recognize the alignment. Putting the projector on the rotor head itself would just make the projector unbuildable as well since it becomes part of the subgrid too.

If there was a way we could build indirectly onto aligned rotor heads that would be awesome.

I'd just want to be able to adjust the projection rotation continuously and not limited to 90-degree steps. Would that help?

if you put the projector on a smart rotor that might help?

It would, but it seems a trifle unnecessary.

I'm about 80% sure that some sort of redesign for projections is in progress.

Xocliw has alluded to it several times over the last few months. I'm guessing there'll be some way to have projectors project other projects so you can project while you're projecting...... Yeah now i have a headache.

Just allowing projectors to project all grids in a projection would solve the issue nicely, and there is a suggestion for that.

I'm working on a client plugin which would fix the multi-grid projections. It may be accompanied with a server side plugin as well as time allows.
