Air vents see -10k pressure [1.193.019]

Stephen C shared this bug 4 years ago
Won't Fix

I have two vents in two different rooms, split by a vanilla door.

Both rooms ARE pressurized.

But, if I go and walk through the door, both vents start venting like made, and I see room pressures that get into the -10k (Or lower? Higher? Not between 0 and 100% anyways), and the vents go nuts, wasting ice.

Looking at it a bit closer, if I go through the door, the air vent goes to zero percent, after a few ticks, it shoots off into that negative pressure value.

Again, let me be clear, the two rooms ARE sealed and are NOT exposed to space.

I had this bug recently, being a software engineer myself it looks like the variable used to store the current pressurisation has rolled over into negative as it is still counting up and using oxygen, maybe it would eventually reach 100% again and fix itself assuming you don't run out of oxygen first.

Hello, Lee!

Thank you for updating us on this. Do you happen to have a save where this is still showing by any chance? There are only a couple of reports of this happening judging by this thread and it would be great to reproduce it from a save if you happen to have one :)

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards

I will have a look, not sure if I do as I didn't think of it at the time but if not I will try to recreate the condition and create a separate save if I can
