Action/reaction lag

Won't Fix

The values in the assembler, refinery, battery, and o2/h2 generators are not updating in real time like they used to. I just tried creating 1000 steel plates with an assembler with 3 speed modules and the indicator reached 1 and stopped but the steel plates in inventory kept going up as if the assembler was lagging horribly. Also the other blocks i mention have a lag as well.

Hello, Joseph!

Sorry that you're having this issue. There was a similar thread a few days ago here where the issue appeared to sort itself out for the user. I have tested this again and still am unable to get any significant lag on the mentioned blocks. I have also tried using a ship drill and there is no lag at all. Is this happening in all worlds? Is this strictly singleplayer? I would firstly suggest the following-

  • Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

/bfSnH0rGoN-NgctSWBJN3LfvWZvgnfye9BrPgucxV0n8TDpNc-7yZYwSifdRXyl1quu20KGUNmHzSf6VGRbhWS4a_EYn2MclxJSOz6eVarmz-fhTWVaofVOAVZN_l_leF9dgQ5GF

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

  • Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Secondly, would it be possible to have a blueprint of the ship you are having issues with? Also, a copy of your world would be excellent and thirdly, a recording of the issue happening for you would be a big help too. I supplied a video in the linked thread of the maximum lag I was experiencing with it.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
