Hatch doors struggle to listen to event controller

Hello, ive been using event controllers to close doors when doors open condition is met, creating a semi airlock. with the sliding door and new center glass doors they work no problem, i went to help someone set up the same thing but they had sliding hatch doors and they do not respond to the event controller.
I have the same bug
