Joystick LOOK disabling Pitch/Yaw

We get new UI for remapping Controllers. Thanks!!


but, if I remap Look (Up/D, L/R) on any (free- let say R-stick) axis, without Modifier.

(because I want to be able to look around without loosing control of my ship on L-stick)

It disable movement for L-stick control of Pitch/Yaw :(


and second thing that little bothers me is RT/LT (joystick sees them as Zaxis) are not viewed like axis but buttons, that´s sad.


so there is only 7 in game Axis, but complex gaming setups can have more (I have 8) but only 6 useable commands. (Up/D, Fow/Back, Starf L/R, and gyros 3Axis)


I want to be able too look around while driving or flying, without loosing control of grid.

- Which device are you using?

- Which Controller Scheme do you currently have selected?

- Which specific bindings are you trying to change? (Exact steps to reproduce would be very helpful.)


Based on the information provided so far, we suspect the issue may be caused by a mismatch in your controller settings. The report mentions a joystick, but it also references LT/RT, which are controls exclusive to Xbox Gamepads. This suggests the selected Controller Scheme may not match your actual device.


If you're using a joystick, we'd recommend switching to the "Generic Joystick" controller scheme and checking whether the issue persists.

I was going for it much simplier.

I have own

.Sbc scheme from old days.

There is only copied Spaceship section.

But I asume it work exactly same.


Will try in Generic joystick scheme later.

For the RT/LT.

I'm using virtual joystick vJoy.

Becouse i have setup from three different devices..

But vJoy function as 8 axis device.

If I rebind anything in new UI, in any scheme:

Moving Z-axis (not Z-rotation) it binds as RT/LT.

So game is one axis short. Becouse it sees them as buttons, not axis.

And for that question: what specific. Try it.

R-stick for Look (Whithout modifier)

L-stick to Yaw/Pich.


I tried more combinations, same result.

When you move LOOK, you lose control of ship. Even if they are on different axis.

It would still help us a lot if you let us know which controller or joystick you are using :)

VKB Gladiator NXT,

Logitech formula vibration feedback wheel,


vJoy and Joystick Gremlin programs.

Like, i'm getting Reason behind this function for controllers. Where is more movemenet or functions on same axis.

But for better joystick ,and other controller types, suport will be good if this "safety function" would be somewhat optional or manageable.
