Space Engineers no longer launches after latest update (process runs, no window appears)
Hello,
I would like to report a launch issue that started immediately after the latest Space Engineers update.
System:
Windows 11 Home, build 26200
Laptop platform with hybrid graphics (AMD iGPU + NVIDIA RTX 4050 dGPU)
Steam version of Space Engineers
Problem Description:
After clicking Play in Steam, Steam changes status to “Running”
SpaceEngineers.exe process appears in Task Manager
No game window opens
No splash screen appears
Process remains running in background
The game was working before the recent update.
Logs / Behavior
Space Engineers log ends shortly after config load, around:
MyConfig.Load() - END
Troubleshooting already attempted
Verify integrity of game files
Full restart of PC
Launch as administrator
Launch directly from Bin64\SpaceEngineers.exe
Delete/reset AppData Space Engineers config folder
Compatibility mode
Safe mode / launch parameters
Disable Steam overlay
Force NVIDIA GPU
Disable integrated GPU test
Reinstall / runtime checks
None of these changed behavior.

This issue began with a bad reaction to the Windows .NETFramework update package released on April 14. I reported the same issue several days ago with Steam, Keen, and Microsoft, and am now asking Keen Software House to provide a general progress report to all SE1 players who have complained about the same issue.
