Video TDR Failure crashing my laptop
Investigating
I was trying to play SE1 with my friends tonight, on the same modded server we use every Friday. But tonight the game caused 3 Blue Screens in a row before I gave up. Each one threw a Video TDR Failure, despite my graphics card and software being up to date. I even did a clean reinstall to be sure. Dunno what else to do - the problem hasn't happened with any other games, so far.
I have the same bug

Hello,
Thank you for reaching our forum with this and we are sorry to hear about the crashes.
Could you please provide a bit more information so we can narrow this down:
Also, please share us your latest game log.
You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
This should help us understand better what might be causing the crash.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,

NVIDIA released a new graphics driver yesterday and I was able to play in our server today with no crashes. I'll still give you what details I can, though, because I had the same problem for about a month after the Apex update. So, there does seem to be something my graphics card doesn't like about Space Engineers.
Honestly, I'm not sure at this point whether NVIDIA is just pushing problematic drivers or if there's some little snippet of Space Engineers code that doesn't interface well. This latest driver update came less than a month after the last one - supposedly just to support some new major game title releases, but obviously there were other changes in there, as well.
From my perspective, the best case scenario would be you guys finding some error on your end that can be easily fixed. Because now I'm scared to ever update my GPU driver again in case some future version brings the crashes back. I've been playing Space Engineers pretty consistently for about 3 years now and wasn't planning on a break anytime soon!
Thanks for your hard work!
