Unable to join friends server or vice versa

I can open my own server and play by myself, but i when my friend trys to join my game for him it says server does not respawn on a blank menu. When i try to join a friends game it loads me into blank menu sayin Game Paused and i can only open my paint menu or hear sounds when pressin normal keys.

Can you please provide us more information?
What exactly do you mean "open my server"? Are you creating and joining the game in Lobby mode, or is it dedicated server?
Are there any mods on the server/that you and/or your friend are using?
How exactly are you joining? Through the in-game Join screen, in-game Invite or through Steam?
Can you please share us - ideally - both logs; one from the server host and one from the joining player?
You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers(Dedicated).
