Multiplayer issues.
I was playing on my friends server yesterday, with 3 others with no issues. I tried to join the next day and when I try to join through direct join or even on steam side and enter the server address and such it flashes joining world and nothing happens. He doesnt see any log in attempt or anything. No time out connection just nothing.
Here is what I have done to try and fix things.
- Attempted to join other servers - Successful. I can join any server on the list that isnt locked with no issues.
- Removed all mods, and tried again - Unsuccessful
- Verified files through steam - tried again - Unsuccessful
- Cleared cache files and steam cache also - Unsuccessful
- reinstalled the game and tried again - Unsuccessful
- Tried to join by selecting my friend on steam and join game - Unsuccessful
- In the Game server list I cannot see my friends server nor do I see them as friends on the in game server list.
- I can however see them on the steam ui server list as friends and see the server. But still cannot join that way either.
Everyone else is playing on the server with no issues.
I am not running a VPN or a antivirus either.
nothing has changed to my system, or the server he is running.
I am a little stumped. Is there anything you guys can think of to help me out.

You mentioned that you can join other servers as long as they are not “locked.” Could you please confirm whether your friend’s server is:
If the server uses a password, please also confirm with the host whether the password has changed recently or been re-saved in the server configuration.
When you mention that you “removed all mods,” could you please clarify:
Although you mentioned that nothing has changed on your system, could you please also check:
For testing purposes only, you may try temporarily disabling such software/your antivirus and then attempting to join the server again to rule out interference.
Please also share your latest log file (named as SpaceEngineers_) from a session where the join attempt fails. This will help us verify at which stage the connection attempt is stopping.
This information will help us investigate this issue further.
