Block Sound Reversed

Having audio issues with multiple blocks where when facing the block, the sound it produces is very faint. However, when I turn away and have the block behind me, the block is at max volume. This is regardless of the distance I am from the block. I could be standing directly next to the block and it is only loud when I turn my back to it.
Example of blocks I've tested:
- Hydrogen engine
- Reactor
- all weapons (turrets and fixed)
I confirmed this bug in a blank fresh new world with arcade sounds and no mods/scripts added. I have already verified my game files multiple times and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. However, the sound is still bugged.
Not sure where else to check to fix this issue.
