Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum regarding this issue.

The error you’re seeing appears to be related to the .NET runtime. This usually points to corrupted or incompatible .NET installation on the system, rather than an issue with the game itself. Installing multiple or very recent .NET versions (such as .NET 9.0.11) can sometimes cause conflicts during application startup.

As a first step, we recommend trying the following workarounds:

  • Please try uninstalling .NET 9.0.11 from your system, then restart your PC.
  • After restarting, allow Windows to reinstall any required .NET components automatically, and avoid installing preview or non-LTS .NET versions.
  • Verify the game files in Steam to ensure no game files are corrupted.
  • Make sure the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015–2022, x64) is installed and up to date.

If the issue persists after trying the above, could you please share the full Event Viewer error entry (not just the faulting module path).

To get the Windows Event Viewer log, please open the Event Viewer (from the start menu, type Event Viewer). In the Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs, Application, and send the top “.NET Runtime” error from Application: SpaceEngineers.exe. (please see attached image).

To do this right, please follow these steps:

1) Select the correct file on the left side (Application)

2) Select first the .NET runtime error from the top (using default ordering)

3) Copy the large bottom text and send it to us.

Please Note: make sure that the info is from the Application: SpaceEngineers.exe

Kind Regards,
