Inconsistent attachement surfaces

error 404 shared this bug 30 hours ago

If you try to attach some blocks, that do not have the outer surfaces the size of a full block, on the "window" parts of a Prototech gyro you will fail. Pictures 1-4

On the other hand some blocks have attachment points that appear to make attached block float above the surface with no physical contact.

I suppose Darth Vader is holding it in place by force alone Yet they are full functional and powered, even if power is transmitted by the void of space. Pictures 5-7

Since it seems a bit unfair some blocks get superpowers, i would request you revisit ALL your blocks and correct them to the same philosophy.

funny mountpoint is half a classic at this point

but, you cant fix #5, infact they had to solve a big anoyence by introduce #5 on the double corner light

everything else there is a way, #3 the mass block should probably just have a full block mountpoint at this point, #6/7 can do with a smaller side mountpoint at around the base,

but reducing/increasing mountpoint could break existing builds who rely on them connecting or not connecting

Any change they ever introduce can and will brake existing builds, that is massively overused excuse. When they introduce changes, like radiation, food etc they didn't ask the players if they are willing to put up to it, yet when a player asks for something it is a valid excuse!?

regardless, all things considered including engine, code limitations etc, if thin air alone is good enough to hold camera or double railing in place, it is also good enough to hold blocks on the window of proto gyro.
