Can't rename ship

It's a bit annoying, when trying to type in a new name via the Info tab it keeps reverting back, even before I can finish typing it. It seems to chiefly affect large grid ships. The issue crops up at random, see attachment.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue!

We tested this on several small and large grids, but weren’t able to reproduce the problem - renaming ships worked normally for us. To help narrow it down, could you please check a few things?

Does it happen only on one specific grid, or across multiple ships/worlds?
Are there any mods active in your save? If yes, please take a blueprint of one affected ship and paste it into a brand-new vanilla (no mods) world - does the problem happen there too? If it still does, try building a simple test grid in that new world and see if you can rename it.

If the problem occurs in all worlds and grids, it might be something external:

Please check your mouse (to make sure it’s not double-clicking) or try another one.
Also, unplug any extra controllers or peripherals before launching the game to rule out input conflicts.

If the issue is still happening after these steps, please also share a log file from one of the affected game sessions.

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

If possible, include a blueprint of one affected ship or even the whole affected world so we can test it directly.

For saves:

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

For blueprints:

You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Sorry about the delay. There are some mods in the blueprint but other users on SE's Discord said they experienced this bug before as well so it doesn't appear to be exclusive to me, though seems to affect large grid ships.

Multiple ships have had this issue but it's a very rare occurrence so hard to identify any particular patterns, though it can be sometimes when I try to rename a ship such as when I repurposed a hydrogen carrier to a drilling ship. The rarity does indicate it's not related to my mouse etc. setup as it would be more common.

How do I attach a blueprint? I tried putting it into a compressed folder but unsure what the contents are if just an image. My Steam name is Lampglow. I'm unsure which save I was using when experiencing the issues as I periodically use "save as" to create new versions in case (e.g. worldname.16 worldname.17)
