Exposure Glitch On Europa

AlbinoWarden shared this bug 21 days ago
Won't Fix

Playing on NA#1 Official Servers, Station called Glacier Pin. This base is built into the ground of Europa. Once in a while we experience a glitch where the underground portion no longer becomes air tight and our exposure levels increase. We have air pumping into a few rooms and these appare to detect a leak and stop filling the room. Further more the above portion of the station becomes glitched the other way, we can open doors and not experience exposure until one walks out if them.

We all have been keeping an eye on what we're doing when it happens, but nothing conclusive as of yet. It seems to happen when multiple people are at the base, but I can't say this a contributing factor. We also suspect that it may have something to do with the hangar doors as other portions of the grid that are underground but have no hangar doors is not affected.

Update. It happened again today, it seems to happen when we operate hangar doors. We messed around with opening all hangar doors fully and then closing, this seemed to fix the main part of the base, but other sections that were closed off by man doors were still "broken". We opened and closed the hangar doors and other doors enough where the whole base became "broken".

We are actively removing all hangar doors today and replacing them with Gates to see if this solves the issue. Will report back here with an update.

Replaced All Hangar doors with gates.... The issue occurred again. It seemed like it happened after closing all the gates at once, but again couldn't do it consistently.

I may have spoke too soon on this one. Using gates so far is going good.

Alright, I can confirm the bug still exists with Gates. I also can confirm it happened with only one person active in the area. This time I do not have any of the gates on any automation, just manually opening and closing them has resulted in the base having exposure levels where they shouldn't...

I tested replacing gates that separated areas that had the glitched exposure level with the "proper" areas and noticed with the gates completely removed no changes occurred... the glitched exposure areas were still pushing the exposure levels higher while the safe area was still safe.

I am wondering if there is a concept that forces grids to "update". I cut a hole in the base (wall, underground) and it caused the room to cause increase in exposure, but when I replaced the armour, it didn't "fix" the room. Station grid is 42k PCU.

After a server reset I was working on a new "air" lock man doors. With the idea of removing all offset doors I thought I would use two sliding doors, with an air vent between them, set to the opposite of a typical airlock, dumping air into that small space. I the floor away after making this and this caused the whole base to become glitched.

Hello AlbinoWarden,

Thank you for all the detailed testing and updates so far — this has been really helpful in narrowing things down.

To better understand the current state of the issue, could you please share a short summary of how the bug behaves after your latest changes?

If possible, we’d also appreciate it if you could provide a blueprint of the affected station (or pass it through one of the official game admins if that’s easier).

This would help us reproduce the conditions more precisely and investigate the problem faster.

Kind Regards,
