Recent Hotfix broke Prototech Drill
Investigating
I was mid raid of research facility when hotfix updated. I had already used the facility drill to drill down to get the platinum, and was about to turn it upward to make exit, when update forced.
upon return Prototech Drill was inop. Made sounds of drill running, but no spinning animation, and no voxel clearing.
Reloaded world.. Exited Space Engineers completely and reload, Tried previous save: still inop
I switched to creative mode and tried to cut/paste the drill to reset it, still inop.
placed a separate prototech drill and powered it up to test; inop
Recent update seems to have broken the prototech drill
I have the same bug Access denied

We have tested it on our side, and the Prototech Drill appears to be working as expected.
Does the world where you’re experiencing this issue contain any mods?
Could you please try pasting the ship or building a simple grid with the Prototech Drill in a new game without mods to see if the problem persists across different saves, or if it’s limited to just one world?
Please try to verify your game files in Steam; right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files; to see if there will be any difference.
Additionally, it would be very helpful if you could share either the blueprint of the affected ship or the save file where you’re experiencing the problem.
For saves:
You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
For blueprints:
You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

I noticed its not just prototech drills, its all drills. worldfile corruption?
I removed all mods (buildvision, sleep mod, speed mod), verified steam files- still broken
