Need More Information

I have also had My Firewall give some issues with the ability to allow it, and I have changed the setting, and also completely turned Windows firewall off completely. Please help, I have over 10k hrs in this game, and love it.

Thx, Sir-Duke

Hello Dale,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum and for sharing your log.

While reviewing the log, we noticed that the game is crashing because it can’t find the required file, EOSSDK-Shipping.dll. This file is part of the Epic Online Services package that the game uses for multiplayer and networking. If it’s missing or corrupted, the game will crash right on launch, which is exactly what’s happening here.

Please try the following steps that could resolve this issue;

Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Once done, launch the game and check if the issue still occurs. If it does, delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Check again if this resolves the issue or not? If not, try following additional steps as well;

Clean & Reinstall Dependencies

  • Close the game.
  • Go to your install folder (Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files):
    …\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Bin64\
  • Delete everything in Bin64 folder.
  • Then re-run Verify Integrity of Game Files in Steam, this will download a fresh copy of all DLLs.

Update Visual C++ Redistributables

  • Make sure the latest Microsoft Visual C++ x64 packages are installed. You can grab them directly from Microsoft’s website.

Run Steam as Administrator

  • Right-click Steam → Run as Administrator, then launch the game again. This ensures EOS can initialize properly.

Please try these steps and let us know if the crash persists. If it does please send us the latest log file.

Kind Regards,
