Hello Danny,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

Regarding the issues with planets not loading, could you please provide some additional details about this issue? For example, does it occur in a single-player world or on a server? Also, is the world or server modded (with active MODs)? If so, please check whether the issue still occurs in an unmodded (vanilla) world or server.

If the issue persists in a vanilla world/server, please try the following steps that could help;

Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Also make sure your operating system and graphics drivers are fully updated.

Once done, launch the game, from the game's main menu go to Options > Display > Video Adapter and make sure your dedicated graphic driver Nvidia/AMD is selected here.

After this, load the world or join the server and check if the issue still persists. If it does, please send us a screen recording/video or screenshots showing the issue (you can use F4 key to take screenshots in the game). Also please attach, latest log files (named, SpaceEngineers_ and VRageRender-) from the time this issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Regarding the issue with character lights not lighting up, please make sure your character has enough energy to use the suit lights. Low energy levels prevent the suit lights from working. You can check your character’s suit energy level in the HUD.

Kind Regards

Hello Keen Software House: QA Department

Thank you for the help. Verifying my files seemed to fix the problem with both the planets and headlights in the world I was testing, originally not modded. The headlights didn't supply any light even with power in the suit, but it seems that it was a file error, similar to the planet's problem.

Thank you for the support.

Kind Regards
