Food does not appear on planets from games prior to Apex
Need More Information
I have a game on Alien planet. I started this game prior to the Apex update. I cannot find any food on it. I've spent literal hours looking. No forageable food. I have checked multiple voxel types. I have checked as far as 50 km from my base.
To replicate (method 1)
- Create game prior to Apex update, include Alien or Earthlike planet.
- Update to Apex.
- Load game and attempt to find food.
To Replicate (method 2)
- After the Apex update, load any prior existing game that contained Alien or Earthlike
Expected
Forageable food can be found.
Actual
Forageable food cannot be found.

Thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.
While testing, we did not encounter any issues with forage-able food in our saves. This was the case for both worlds created in v206 as well as worlds from v205 updated to the current version (1.207.021).
Please see the attached images from Earth and Alien Planet.
For us, it appeared to work immediately after the update, but just to be sure, could you please check in the world settings that all related options are enabled?
If you are still experiencing the problem in the current version of the game and in a non-modded world, please share the affected save with us.
You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
