Unneccessary UI "Ok" Confirmation (Food Harvesting)

Why does this UI window (See attachment) even exist? Why not just make it so, that you get an "Ok" window every time you pick something up from the ground or from within a container?
Its just bad UI design, and it should be removed. THX!

As a sidenote, why do have i have to do the following to plant something:
1. Click the farm plt
2. Click the seed
3. Click plant
Why can`t this be easier like, select the seed into your hotbar like a tool. Then just select the seed from hotbar and just click the farm plot once instead of three times?
