Apex: Hungar bar OP when hits zero

Hi Keen,

When playing Apex, when the Hungar Bar reaches zero. You lose health way to fast than even a medical bay or survival pod can replenish. That fact that when my food is all gone, people can live without food for days! Why is it once you hit zero food your health drains faster than a medical kit, medical bay or even a survival pod can replenish that health?? Why not star just with slowly removing buffs? Then add "fatigue" i.e. Reverse Buffs to the same indicators. Slower movement, More O2 etc. Then after a few day/hours impact health at increased faster rates.


The other BIG BUG also is once you DIE from starvation and regenerate. You do so starved and as stated above health decline is faster than you can move to replenish or get to the food to eat. Why is it I'm starving once I regenerate as well.

Thank you for reaching our forum with this.

After testing it on our side and further discussion with the design team, it turns out that this is working as designed/expected.

You are receiving 7 damage per click, which is consistent and balanced in relation to the actual healing rate provided by, for example, Medical Rooms.

Please also note that when you are hungry, the main action should be to eat to stop the effect (damage), rather than trying to keep your health up while still hungry.

As there is nothing broken, as explained above, I will close this thread now.
